In October 2014, Xator Corporation acquired CMX Technologies, a rapidly growing provider of systems engineering, intelligence analysis and analytics, communications, and network engineering. With nearly 300 personnel—90% of which have Top Secret security clearances or higher—Xator and CMX offer expanded capabilities and synergies in support of critical national security missions at home and abroad. 

CMX Technologies is hiring an Intelligence Analyst in Reston VA. Intelligence Analysts are responsible for assessing threats to Department of Defense entities, and researching and analyzing data from a myriad of sources to make a recommendation to government about potential threats and persons of interest. Analysts will work independently but will be expected to coordinate and collaborate with peers throughout the Department of Defense and the Intelligence Community. Analysts must demonstrate mastery of researching, writing, briefing, and analytical skills.  Analysts must possess an understanding of the National Intelligence Community and be able to work collaboratively with other organizations. 

Intelligence Analysts are required to:

  • Validate information in intelligence products containing information and/or data from numerous government and public data sources.
  • Determine the credibility, value, significance, and relevance of information from different data sources to produce clear, concise, and timely analytical products.
  • Analyze and evaluate intelligence against a wide range of data sources.
  • Gather, interpret, and present data to produce reports and draw conclusions.
  • Utilize technology and data exploitation techniques.
  • Conduct strategic research and develop innovative technical and/or analytical solutions to combine terrorist indicators with other data sources.
  • Produce timely, tailored intelligence analysis in support of warfighters and decision makers. 

Basic Qualifications:

  • Proof of U.S. citizenship
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 4 years experience in intelligence analysis, or military operations support.
  • Active TS/SCI U.S. Government Security Clearance and ability to obtain a CI polygraph

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience of excellent verbal communication skills for briefings and presentations
  • Strong understanding of all-source data sources
  • Software applications ( Microsoft Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.),
  • Public source databases (ie Accurint, Lexis Nexis)
  • Analytical tools (Analyst Notebook, Palantir, etc.)
